So we’re going to show you God’s plan, on how anyone, if they’re willing, can get to know, not just believe, that the True Bible really did come from God, though men wrote it.
If we think that men just sat down and wrote the True Bible and then said, “it came from God,” we’ll be sadly mistaken, and probably won’t look at it for what it truly is, a letter from God, making known to us, his mind and will for us.
You know we’ve got everyone out there claiming they’re right, from Jesus himself, all the way to demons.
We’ve got this religion, and that one over there; this prophet, and that prophet.
Even within the same religions, we’ve got divisions, and disagreements with one another, no wonder most people just stand by, and don’t know what to think.
And some are saying, “Where’s God in all this?
Why doesn’t he straighten this all out, if he’s real?
Isn’t this just a bunch of confusion?”
Well, yes, it can be confusing, but the Real Bible, shows us how we can get through all of this confusion.
God and the truth of all this can be found; but there’s a search required; remember, Jesus said in Matthew 7:7 “seek, and ye shall find.”
God and the truth aren’t going to just fall out of the sky; (actually they already have), but we’ve got to follow the directions God gave us; he knows where the truth is.
Now for those who might say, “I’ve searched;” the question is, “did you search God’s way?
Did you take the path he’s made for us, in order to find the truth of all this?
Here are some promises that God guarantees will happen, when we search his way.
In Jeremiah 29:13, God said, “And ye shall seek me and find me, when ye shall search for me, with all your heart.”
So, this tells us, that God can be found.
Jesus also said in Matthew 7:7 “Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you.”
Now this tells us, that if we haven’t received, we haven’t asked, sought, or knocked, the right way, God’s way.
Also, in Matthew 7:8 Jesus assured us that “every one that asketh, receiveth; and he that seeketh, findeth; and to him that knocketh, it shall be opened.”
So as we can see, God is ready, willing and able to show us the truth of all this; but we’ve got to follow the directions he gave us in the True Bible.
Now the search for this truth begins with a few serious questions we have to ask ourselves.
First, are we anxious and eager to know that the True Bible really did come from God?
(for whatever the reason, some don’t want to know).
Second, are we made up in our minds to accept the truth of all this, when we know it, though it may be opposite to our own will, interests and plans?
(this turns many away; they see that they’d have to change their lifestyle, their plans, beliefs. Etc. and aren’t willing to do so).
And third, are we ready to receive and accept this truth, regardless of any uneasiness it may create in us?
But aren’t we doing that now?
Yes we are.
Whatever our beliefs are now, they’re what we sincerely and truly believe, regardless of any uneasiness it may cause us, or what people may think or say.
But the most important question is, do we know that our beliefs are true, or do we only believe they are?
Now Jesus taught God (the Father), himself, the devil and hell, and all of this, is recorded in the True Bible; but, also recorded there, is the path that God has made for us on how to get to know the truth of all this.
“Now just a minute” some may say, “you can’t prove these things from the Bible.”
Well, I suppose the next thing you’ll say, is that we can’t bake a cake from the recipe.
The recipe on how to bake this cake, is in the True Bible.
Actually, it contains an outright challenge, to all doubters, and non-believers; in fact, to the entire world from Jesus himself; that if any are willing, they can get to know the truth of all this.
You can see Jesus’ challenge for yourself; it’s found in John 7:16-17 where he said “My (doctrine=teaching), is not mine but his that sent me.” (meaning God his Father), and continuing he says “If any man will do his will, he shall know (he doesn’t say “shall believe”, but, “shall know,”) whether my teaching is from God or I speak of myself.”
Now talk about a challenge.
So where’s his Father’s will to be found, so that we can get to know the truth of all this?
In the recipe, in God’s letter to us, in the True Bible.
Now some may object to this and say, “But men wrote the Bible.”
Well the Bible tells us that men wrote it, it’s not trying to hide that; but I’d like to know, why those that told them that “men wrote the Bible,” didn’t tell them the rest?
Why didn’t they tell them, that these men who wrote the True Bible, did so, as it was dictated to them by God the Holy Spirit; as it’s written in 2 Peter 1:21?
You know everything else we’ve come to believe or not, was written to us by men also; including things we didn’t see or weren’t there for; this isn’t any different.
It’s very strange how some people seem to know some parts of the true Bible, but leave out the other parts.
These men, who wrote the True Bible as it was dictated to them by God the Holy Spirit, were like secretaries, who simply take notes; the message is from the boss, though the secretary writes it out, and in this case, the boss was, and still is God.
You know God isn’t an old man, inactive, and sitting up in the heavens taking Advil’s over what’s going on, or what went on in the world.
If we don’t want to listen to him, that’s fine, but we’re going to pay the consequence of that disobedience.
If we don’t want to listen to the warning of jumping off of a roof, then we’re going to pay the consequence of that disobedience also.
Gravity, and many other things in life dictate to us all the time; not just God.
He gave us the solution to everything we need, right there in the True Bible.
He set the rules in motion for us, including how we can get to know the truth of all these things; and all of this has been in the True Bible ever since it was written.
It’ll be our fault not God’s, if we disobey or disregard his rules, and wind up paying the consequence.
Neither is it the Electric Company’s fault, if we disobey or disregard their rules, and stick our finger in the wall socket, and get electrocuted.
So here we are at a very important crossroad.
Are we going to take Jesus’ challenge, and follow his instructions on how to get to know the truth of all this, or will we go down the other road, finding out later, that we took the wrong road?
Now for those who’d like to pick up on Jesus’ challenge, obviously, the next question is, “What is his Father’s will, so that we can get to know the truth of all this?”
“This is my Father’s will” Jesus said, in John 6:40, “everyone, which seeth the son (meaning himself), and believeth on him, may have everlasting life;” and this isn’t just the Father’s will, but in 1 John 3:23 it says, that this is the Father’s, “commandment” for us to believe on the name of his Son Jesus, in order to have everlasting life.
Now, would the Father command and require us to see and believe on Jesus, if we had no way of seeing him?
So how does one see Jesus, to believe on him, since he isn’t here, in human form as before?
Well, we see him in the True Bible, that is, his story is there, for us to see and believe on him.
It’s not a blind belief in Jesus, without any information about him, that God the Father commands and requires from us, or that we should have our eyes plucked out, and then follow Jesus blindly; but the Father commands, and requires us, to see Jesus, that is, to learn, and study about him, ourselves, and not just from what other people may tell us about him, and where is this information about Jesus to be found, except in the True Bible?
Now, to get our beliefs, from what we’ve read, isn’t out of the ordinary; let me remind you, that everything else we’ve come to know and believe, or not; things we weren’t there for, or didn’t see, were written to us by men also.
Take the information about George Washington for instance, we weren’t there, yet we believe, or not, according to the information men gave us, that he lived, and did certain things; but President Washington, didn’t say, as Jesus did, that he had a way, for us to get to know, that men’s writings about himself were true.
Even jury systems work this way; from the information given by men, the jury, who weren’t there, they didn’t see the crime, yet, they pass down a sentence, and sometimes, it’s “Life or Death,” based on this information, given by men.
So this, “men wrote the Bible” thing, isn’t any different, than any other report given by men, except for the fact, that Jesus said, we can get to know, that this report is true.
Now I do understand, that mistakes are made in the jury system, we’re only human, but we’re talking here, about getting to know, not just believe, that God is the source, of the information in the True Bible, even though men wrote it.
And how important is it, that we do get to know these things for sure, seeing that the information also tells us, that everlasting life, or everlasting death, are in the balance for us, depending on whether we believe this information, about Jesus or not?
When we think of the consequences here, the wrong choice, would be fatal.
Now seeing that the consequences are that serious, God the Father and Jesus both, are more than willing, that we get to know the truth of all this, so that we make the right decision; look how far they went, as it’s written in John 3:16, “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, (who went voluntarily by the way, some have been saying, “how could God do that to his son?”)
Jesus came voluntarily, that whosoever believeth in him, should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
Because of (sin=disobedience), the world was already condemned; but now, because of what Jesus did, we have a chance, but a choice to make, because having completed his work, it’s everlasting life or everlasting death for us, depending, on whether we believe in Jesus or not, it’s that simple.
I just love how the Holy Spirit, through the Apostle Paul puts it, he calls it, “the simplicity, that is in Christ Jesus,” you can see that in 2 Corinthians 11:3.
Now once again, here’s what God (the father) commands and requires us to believe, in order to get to know the truth of all this, and gain everlasting life.
First, for us to see Jesus, and believe on him, through the information God has provided, in the True Bible.
Secondly, as it’s written in Romans 10:9, “If, (small word big meaning), if we confess this belief (in Jesus) to God (his Father), and believe in our heart, that God raised Jesus from the dead, (through the same information in the True Bible), we’ll be saved.” Wonderful word, Saved.
Now some are saying, “there’s no hell, and if there is, God wouldn’t put anybody there.”
Well you’re half right, God doesn’t put anybody there, their own disobedience puts them there; that unchanging law is already in place; the electric company won’t electrocute you; you’re own disobedience will, if you stick your finger in the wall socket, and that unchanging law, is already in place also.
Now following this belief and confession of Jesus to God the Father, then, he’ll make us to know (as promised), that Jesus’ teaching, about God (the father), Jesus himself, the devil and hell, are all real, and believe me, we’ll be so thankful, that we do know the truth of all this.
As Jesus said, in John 8:32, “Ye shall know the truth, (he didn’t say you’ll just believe it), and the truth shall make you free.”
Free from what you might ask?
Well beside many other things, free from the doubt and uncertainty about all these things, and free from the sin and consequence, of not obeying the Father’s command, that we should, see and believe on Jesus.
No disobedience is going to get into heaven.
The mess of this world, was started, by disobedience to God’s command, and look at the result; this won’t even get a start in heaven.
Heaven is, sin and disobedience, gone away, and voluntary obedience, welcomed.
You know we don’t get to know that shoes are comfortable, unless we follow the rule of putting them on first, then we get to know if they’re comfortable.
Well, in this case, we don’t get to know the truth of these things, unless we follow the rule of, putting on Jesus first; then we’ll get to know the truth of all these things..
All true believers have had to follow this path, that God has laid out.
They first heard, or read about Jesus, that is, they saw Jesus, in the Bible, and believed on him through that information, then God (the Father), in his own way, made them to know, that Jesus’ teaching is from him, though men wrote it, and this can happen for those who don’t already know.
Now you might ask, “Why has God the Father chosen this way, to get us to know?”
Well, (as in everything else he does), it’s for our benefit.
When we receive the results of following his instructions, that is, when we get to know the truth of all this, God will have killed 3 birds, with one stone, which are very important for us to know.
First, we’ll know, (not just believe), that the True Bible, really did come from God and not men, therefore, there is a God; he’s quite clever isn’t he?
Secondly, we’ll know, that what Jesus said is true, and was the key to bring this all about.
And third, we’ll know, the place of complete (Faith=belief, trust and confidence) in the True Bible, that it is God's word not men’s, and that all things in it are true.
And now, which was the purpose of this introduction, we’ll be able to usefully use the True Bible, get good results from it, and pay good attention to it, knowing that it really did come from God; therefore; we’ll pay a much closer attention, to the message in it; because you see, though God speaks to us, through the Holy Spirit, through (Providence=his guidance and management of all things), through the Creation, and several other ways, yet the main way of his speaking to us, is through the True Bible.
So we can see, that it’s very important, that we do pay close attention to it, and knowing that it really did come from God, will make that happen.
Now after reading about and believing in Jesus as commanded and required by God the Father, there’s a special prayer (called the sinner’s prayer), that God had these men put in the True Bible.
Now in this prayer, is what God the Father wants to hear from us, when we confess this belief of ours in Jesus to him, and not what we think we ought to say to him, after all, we want to do this right, right?
Right.
Now the sinner’s prayer, can be found on our website bestbiblestudyonearth.com in the BBSOENEWS section.
So if we want to know the truth of all this, simply pick up the True Bible, see Jesus in it, and believe on him from the information God has provided there, and confess that belief, to God the Father, through the sinner’s prayer, and you’re on your way, to everlasting life, and knowing, (not just believing), that Jesus’ teachings are all true.
Now some may ask, “Wait a minute, if we can get to know the truth of all these things, then there wouldn’t be any need of, faith in God, would there?
Doesn’t the True Bible say, that the just, shall live by, faith in God, and you’re saying, that Jesus said, we can get to know, that there’s a God?
Isn’t that a contradiction?”
Well, it seems like it, doesn’t it?
Let’s clear this up, and what better way, than to let the True Bible do that for us.
There’s a famous chapter on living by faith in God, it’s in Hebrews chapter 11, and it contains a list, of those that all lived, as it says, by faith in God.
But if we look a little closer, we’ll see that, God spoke directly to many on this list, so, they knew there was a God, and as Hebrews chapter 11 puts it, they all lived by faith in God.
Again, this isn’t a contradiction, it’s faith in God’s word, that they all lived by, which is, having “faith in God.”
Even Cain, who killed his brother Abel, knew that there was a God, he had a direct conversation with him, and the devil knows there’s a God too; but Cain and the devil, didn’t wish to live by faith in God, (that is by faith in his word), but those in this list, who knew that God was real, by his speaking directly to them, all lived by faith, in what God said to them, faith in his word and promises, which is, living by faith in God.
Here’s an example:
It’s written in Genesis 6:13, “And God said unto Noah.”
So we can see there, that God spoke directly to Noah, so Noah knew there was a God, and this is confirmed in Hebrews 11:7, when it says, “By faith, Noah, being warned of God, of things not seen as yet, (meaning the oncoming flood), he was moved with fear, (in what God had told him), and prepared an ark, to the saving of his household.”
God also gave him very precise directions, on how to build the ark.
So we can see, that even though Noah knew that God was real, by God speaking directly to him, yet Noah, lived by (faith=belief, trust and confidence), in God’s word, that there would be a flood, and it would be on time, and so, he wound up saving himself, and his family, by voluntary obedience, and faith in God’s word, which Hebrews chapter 11 puts it, as living by faith in God.
So there we have it, we can know, not just believe, that Jesus’ teaching, recorded in the True Bible, about God (the Father), himself, the devil and hell, are all real, yet, we’ll still need to live by (faith=belief, trust and confidence), in God’s word, the True Holy Bible, and this is what True Christians still do to this day.
You know many people think, becoming a (True Christian=a follower of Jesus and his teaching), means giving up everything, and becoming some kind of Monk or something; (please no offence to any Monks out there).
But that’s not the way it is.
Becoming a True Christian, is simply doing the things we’re already doing, but in the right way, a way which is pleasing to God, and I might add, better for us, our lives, and consciences.
It’s a peace with ourselves, and more importantly, it’s a peace with God, that can’t be had any other way, but by obedience to him.
It’s a peace that the True Bible says, “passes all understanding.”
It’s a new start!
Doing it right! (as they say).
Finding that, “hard to pin down,” place of rest.
